Student Websites

To compliment our weekly lessons, I build each student a custom webpage that helps them focus on and stay committed to their individual goals / practice routine.  These custom webpages are a fun way to stay inspired and track progress.

Public Performances

We all learn guitar for different reasons.  Public performances can be an important part of your growth as a musician; however, your participation in the recitals / concerts that we produce is always optional.  It is important to mention that encouraging performance opportunities like these are very rare and can really make a positive impact in your growth as a musician, but seriously, there is no pressure to get up and rock out in front of everyone :)

Songwriting / Recording

I have been composing and producing original music for almost as long as I have been playing guitar.  If you have a desire to write and record the music that you create, we can easily incorporate this into our lesson plan.  This can make our sessions a LOT of fun!  Many of my students have participated in writing / recording original music with me.  Listen to some of these songs on my
News Page / Blog.

student showcase (all ages and abilities)

With over 20 student performances each year, of all ages and abilities, Dustin Blatnik has created one of the northwest's most distinguished displays of musical talent -- The Guitar Student Showcase!

The showcase traditionally takes place at Champions Centre in Tacoma, Washington and features a professional performance stage - fully equipped with lighting, sound, and backline.

To ensure maximum Rock Star-ness, all students receive the unique opportunity to perform with a live band (featuring some of the northwest's most talented local musicians!).
